Car in inside lane

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3917105.

Car in Lane to take the exit to whiteley. Sign previously says obstruction but not that it's in the inside lane. Then after getting out of danger by speeding back up to 70mph a sign after the obstruction then flashes up to say 40mph with no warning while 50 yards from the sign and a speed camera. Very dangerous when cars have already tried to maneuver out of the way

  • Thank you for your report concerning a stopped vehicle on the M27.

    According to our records, there were two incidents in this area, one of which was the stationary vehicle in this report. It's likely that the speed limit issues you encountered were the result of our automatic stationary vehicle detection (SVD) system implementing limits in response to these incidents. I can assure you that our Control Room was aware of the vehicles in the road, and we set closures in place to protect them and other road users once their presence was confirmed.
