Works Ref- FN41259193916 WORKS INACTIVE
Reported via desktop in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 14:48, Mon 17 October 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3895555.
The above roadworks on New Hey Road bridge over the M62 has been ongoing for several years now (prior to lockdown if my memory serves me well?) and I have not seen any signs of activity or progress for at least the last six months. I regularly use this route to commute to work and I am finding this incredibly frustrating as no signs of progress are evident. I am not going to go into detail as I am sure National Highways have access to site progress reports from their ghost 'contractor' but this complete lack of progress compounded with completely unsatisfactory programmed traffic light management makes my blood boil everyday as I have to navigate past this ridicuous inconvenience which has gone on far too long!
I look forward to an update and some excuses soon.
PS. Reimbursement for the amount of fuel I have wasted whilst waiting for the traffic lights to consider it is worthing of turning green would also be appreciated given the current cost of fuel but I guess that would be a stretch to say the least?

The aforementioned bridge on the A640 over the M62 has been single lane traffic controlled for over 6 years. What is the current status report and the future remedie of the current problem?
