Traffic light sequence A63 East Bound

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 17:28, Sat 15 October 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3892123.

On the double set of traffic lights at the Great Union Street turn off from the A63, the light are no longer working in sequence. The first light goes green only for the second light to be on red. This means only 6 or 7 car go through & the road is backed up. First light turns red & second lights turn green letting only the cars that are trapped between the two light to pass through. The sequence has changed to how this had been working i.e both lights were on green at the same time. The issue is causing unnecessary congestion of traffic.
