Sign showing End

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3854787.

The overhead sign is showing End on the westbound carriageway, when there have been no speed limits before the sign. It is the same at the Eastern Road on the Eastbound carriageway which is showing End with no speed limits before it. This happened about 3 weeks before. As far I know it was today as the last time, I travelled along the road the signs were working properly

  • Thank you for your report concerning END signs on the gantry at Junction 12 of the M27.

    We apologise for any confusion. These signals are frequently left on for a few minutes after speed restrictions end to make sure road users know they no longer apply. In this case, it's possible that these signs were being shown after an incident or closure had been removed.
