Line Marking on Roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 14:15, Thu 22 September 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3841543.

Report sent to East Sussex Highways states

When leaving Polegate on Hailsham Road to join the Cophall Roundabout in right hand lane to proceed to the A22 junction on three occasions in the past month he has been undertaken at speed by cars in the left lane ( for A27 ) narrowly avoiding collision.

He continues to say that the road markings are faded and inadequate and maybe an arrow informing drivers that the left lane is for left turns only onto the A27 would go some way to reducing these near misses.

This is an experience shared by others.
