Collapses and Damaged Drain cover

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 15:16, Sun 18 September 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3832805.

I have noticed the last two weeks or so there is a drain cover that has collapsed and is damaged. It's on the M5 Junction 1 roundabout. It's on the inner side of the roundabout opposite the entry to the M5 North slip road

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the collapsed drain cover.

National Highways manage motorways and certain ‘A’ road trunks roads in England, all other roads are the responsibility local authorities. Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-council.

    Kind regards,

  • This junction continually gets blocked on a weekly basis due to drivers blocking the junction from the A41 into Birmingham where the cars exit onto the northbound M5. Can we please have this yellow box like the red boxes in London where you have a camera issuing fixed penalties. This may stop this issue, it creates traffic chaos every week.
