Traffic lights not allowing sufficient traffic to flow through

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3830740.

Long tailbacks have been building up over the last 2 weeks along the A460 towards M6 J11 tailing back to Featherstone, this is causing rat running through the narrow village lanes locally putting horse riders and walkers in danger, I believe priority is being given to the slip road off the motorway but this needs the sequence of the traffic lights changing to relieve the congestion on the A460 and improve road safety on the local village roads.
