Traffic lights not working coming off the junction

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 09:54, Thu 15 September 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3826898.

The traffic lights coming off junction 5 on the M65 have not been working since July. This is becoming very dangerous as cars are queueing on the slip road for about half a mile. There are cars then trying to squeeze on to slip road further up causing backlogs in the first lane. Cars and lorries are still flying past the stationary cars and it is very frightening. As far as we are aware the lights were off because of roadworks but we have never seen any roadworks being completed in this area. Please can this be rectified as a matter of urgency before a catastrophic accident occurs.
