Resident feels the cycle route signage here is confusing

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 13:55, Tue 6 September 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3806911.

I work for Kent County Council Highways and a resident has reported that the cycle sign installed here by yourselves is confusing for cyclists as it indicates a safe cycle route along the A2050 into Canterbury. Whilst l understand cycling is legal along the A2050 it is not a pleasant experience. I understand from Canterbury City Council that you installed the sign to indicate which direction adjacent cycle routes are. Do you have a policy on this and would you consider removing the sign? I have photos and more details of the exact location
