More of your equipment

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 19:27, Thu 25 August 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3781233.

More of your road work equipment left flytipped on the verges. Honestly the mess your workers leave throughout the road network is an absolute disgrace. You create so much roadside litter and have absolutely no workmanship. Total laziness with a contempt of tax payers money. Once works have completed, just COLLECT THE EQUIPMENT, it's really that simple. Don't dump the frames, cones and sandbags along the verges, just collect them. Myself and other road users really aren't asking for much. Until you're taken to court and heavily fined, this awful behaviour will persist. I will continue to report it and try to pursue avenues to get this to stop. You really should be embarrassed.

  • Very well said. Indeed they SHOULD be embarrassed, but I’m guessing, as usual, they aren’t and what’s more, they don’t care.

  • Thank you for your report concerning redundant roadworks equipment on the M11.

We are currently looking into a way that we can overcome this issue and will endeavour to remove all redundant signage and equipment at our earliest opportunity.

Due to the volume of roadworks across our network it can be difficult to identify which equipment needs to stay or be removed.

We have passed your report on to the relevant department who will investigate your concerns. In the future could you please report issues such as this to our Customer Contact Centre as this reporting tool is designed for defects such as a broken sign or barrier, litter, overgrown vegetation or potholes.

Our Customer Contact Centre, available 24 hours a day at:

    • 0300 123 5000 • info@natinoalhighways.co.uk

    Kind regards
