Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about road surface on this section of the A2.

We’re aware of the issues of the road condition and there is a major resurfacing scheme planned anticipated for this October 2022 between Nackington and Bridge eastbound.

Recognising this issue, we have put out extra road signs indicating the uneven surfaces for road users for a 2 mile stretch. We've also put out temporary speed restriction signs along this stretch for the safety of road users.

Currently, there’s an improvement and resurfacing scheme being carried out on the A2 between Whitfield and Lydden.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to review weekly when any safety issues will be raised for urgent mitigation.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
