Litter

Reported via mobile in the Litter (NH) category anonymously at 22:05, Mon 8 August 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3739972.

Litter around the entire roundabout. So much litter that it looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years - a complete eyesore and a very unwelcome approach to Brentwood.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding litter on the A12.

We, National Highways, are not responsible for picking litter on the A12. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1991, Brentwood Borough Council is the responsible authority. You can contact them via https://www.brentwood.gov.uk/ -/ contact-details.

To help, we’re working with them to ensure litter picking is better co-ordinated with other routine maintenance work on our road network. By doing so, we aim to minimise disruption to those using our roads, reduce costs and importantly, ensure safety standards for those picking the litter are met.

    Kind regards,

    National Highways
