Roadwork signs

There are roadwork speed signs here, there are also signs about the roadworks drainage work and no parking after 19-00. These have been here for months but no work is being done or looks like being done, the signs are temporary road work speed restrictions for no reason at all shouldn't be there and I found this also which is a document chapter 8 . D3.7.17 In general, a temporary speed limit should not be introduced where the length of restriction would be less than 800 m on dual carriageway roads and 400 m on single carriageway roads, measured between the initial speed limit sign and the sign indicating the end of all restrictions

Very well done for taking the time to look up the proper documentation. Unfortunately you’re dealing with National Highways, and in their documentation, they are required by law when taking on a job, not to give a toss.

Thank you for your report concerning the signage in this area.
Our inspector has visited this location and has found no redundant roadwork signage in this area. The 40mph signs that are currently in place are there as the permanent signs were stolen. We have placed temporary signs while we look to replace the permanent ones. These are not in place because of roadworks.
