M5 Road surface badly worn - skid risk?

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 18:11, Mon 1 August 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3722939.

M5 southbound on Avonmouth bridge. Lanes are showing signs of being polished smooth by traffic and it looks seriously like the level of grip will be compromised, particularly in the wet. "Lane 1" is particularly bad (not the Portishead slip lane). Please urgently check the road coefficient of friction where the tyres have worn it smooth
