The vegetation on your grass verge is overgrown and dead, in my opinion it is a serious fire risk. Please cut down and arrange regular maintenance

Thank you for your report concerning overgrown and dried vegetation on the A31.
Our inspector visited the location and agrees that work is needed to ensure the safety of road users.
We have passed the issue on to our contractors, who will include the area in their cyclic maintenance programme for regular clearance. There is due to be a vegetation clearance as part of this programme beginning in this area next week beginning 1 August.
Kind regards

It is now 29th September 2022 and your clearance of this hazard is long overdue, you have said work will start 1st August. Are you waiting for a traffic fatality to prove this is dangerous overgrowth which obscures the junction of the A31/A338 slip road?

It is the 15th October 2022. The vegetation on the side of the slip road is still overgrown and obscuring the view of the junction. Will you deal with it before there is an accident?

Still no maintenance on the A31 slip road. A branch was overhanging onto the junction for a week before being cut back, this area is badly neglected and will result in a fire or accident one day. This needs urgent attention.
