Phasing

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 18:50, Sun 17 July 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3682653.

I’ve noticed within the last week that phasing has changed? When you travel from the A52 from the Nottingham/ Gamston direction and indicate right for cotgrave at Holme House your sitting at red for ages so much so this has led to long queues behind which in turn car are then backing up. Please can this be looked at.

  • This is due to drivers stopping too far back from the lights. Twice this month I've had to get out my car and instruct the driver at the front of the queue to drive over the detector in the road so the lights can change. People need educating on how traffic lights work. Maybe a sign saying "Drive up to the line" will help in this situation?
