Traffic lights do not detect motorcycles
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 09:16, Mon 27 June 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3625524.
The detection plate in the road to change the lights from red to green does not detect a motorcycle, this means that the lights do not change and the lights will stay on red. The only way to get the lights to change is to wait for another car to pull up behind. The only way to go through the lights is to edge out of a blind junction into oncoming traffic which is extremely dangerous. This is the case from exiting the A38 and turning right into the Roman Heights estate and the same when trying to exit the roman heights estate.
