Lots of big bumps across both lanes

This has been for years now and costing motorists money on their vehicle repairs. Also very dangerous for motorcycles.

  • Really bad bumps and pots holes on this stretch of A2. Very very dangerous. This has been like this for ages and getting much worse.. Please fix before there are fatalities

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about road surface on this section of the A2 carriageway.

    Thank you for taking the time to get in touch regarding this matter. I am very sorry to hear of the impact of poor road conditions and please be assured that we do understand and recognise your concerns. We’re aware of the issues of the road condition along this stretch of the A2. This stretch is currently monitoring by our safety team since August 2021.

    Recognising this issue, I can advise that a major scheme is currently under development which will involve full levelling and resurfacing between Nackington and Bridge and also along Lydden to Whitfield with anticipated construction in this financial year 2022/2023.

    In the meantime, we’ll continue to review weekly when any safety issues will be raised for urgent mitigation.
