Sos box not operating roadworks sign obscuring sos bay

SOS BOX 759 not working, broke down with my wife and children in the lay-by, went to use the sos box, it was broke, very little phone signal but managed to call RAC who did not attend to help us. So after 6 hrs had to phone my brother who drove the 3hrs to give us help. Reason for message, if I was a young person with children on there own and no phone signal. They would be stuck, we were there from 22:30 till 6am
