  • Dear Sir or Madam

Thank you for contacting us by Fix My Street regarding exposed metalwork under the bridge over the M18.

The concrete removed is the cover concrete. It has been proactively removed here so it doesn’t fall, ensuring safety of the public. It protects the steel beneath, but has little structural function. This means there there is no immediate safety concerns regarding the bridge.

Thank you again for contacting us. If there is anything we can help you with, please email or telephone our Contact Centre. They’re available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email info@nationalhighways.co.uk

    Kind regards

    Daniel
