Potentiall Life threatening delays due to unmanned roadworks and lights.

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 21:09, Fri 10 June 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3587192.

Roadworks and temp lights around an incomplete Manhole installation near the pinned location are causing around a mile queue each side this evening. Emergency vehicles would find it very hard to transit, given one lane of stationary queue and longs blocks of oncoming traffic with insufficient pasing clearance. There is also a potentially dangerous short but deep pothole around 50m further west towards Charmouth in the centreline of the road, which could unseat a motorcyclist if unseen by being full of water in bad conditions. Queeing time was up to half an hour from the Bridport direction at 19:00

  • Why is no one working? on a major trunk road on a Friday. Disgraceful lack of planning. Why set up lights & have no team working in height of holiday season. We pay to use the roads! Unbelievable
