Surface damage causing significant vibration to property
Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 17:22, Fri 10 June 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3586840.
Over recent weeks there has been increased vibration to our property as heavy vehicles pass on the M3. I am concerned about damage to our property as well as gas and water lines leading to my property. These vibrations are frequent and I imagine are the result of damage to one or more motorway lanes.

I 'phoned this problem through this morning and as the situation had not improved by this afternoon I 'phoned again for an update. I was told that a person/company were investigating. I was given no other details. The vibration to my property is extreme with high resonance in all partition walls. I am concerned that structural damage will occur.

Thank you for your report concerning surfacing issues on the M3.
This section of road has been the site of a large pothole which has been actioned for emergency repair on multiple occasions. It is now being actioned for a more permanent repair, and there are currently lane closures out allowing for this to take place. These works should be completed by tomorrow, 16 June 2022.
We hope this resolves the issue, but if the problem persists please contact our Customer Contact Centre. They're available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email on the following address: info@highwaysengland.co.uk.
