Lane markings dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 08:09, Thu 9 June 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3582556.

Both lanes can turn off the roundabout onto Great Yorkshire Way. Both lanes can also carry on round onto M18 south. I was in lane 1 going to M18 south, car in lane 2 was turning off onto Great Yorkshire Way. I took action to prevent an accident but it's a major collision waiting to happen.

  • Good morning, I use the M18 every day for my commute to work. Jct3 has always been a bad junction, but just lately it seems to be getting worse, drivers are not paying attention on the approach and then stopping in the live lane to try and come off at the junction. this is going to cause a major accident very soon, with lorries and other motorist having to swerve to miss the vehicles that are just stopping in the lane. Surely this is illegal?

People clearly don't have a brain cell and need to take their driving test gain. Why not just carry on to the next junction and come back on yourself?
