M3 Roundabout above the M3 Junction at Bagshot

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 22:18, Thu 2 June 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3568993.

The White lines on the roundabout and entry to the M3 Slip road, London Bound from the Bracknell Direction and the entire roundabout at so faded that they service no use.

A recent HGV/Car accident at this junction was probably caused by the poor white lining.

The roundabout is often gridlocked as cars block the entry and exit points , in particular the London bound M3 traffic approaching from the Lightwater direction.

Having spoken to the local authority, Surrey Heath, they asked me to contact National Highways who manage this roundabout.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding faded road markings on the roundabout above the M3 junction at Bagshot.

National Highways do not look after this roundabout, it’s only the slip roads and the mainline motorway through this section that are maintained under our control. The roundabout would come under Local Authority ownership. Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-council.

    Kind regards,

    National Highways
