Roundabout at tinsley viaduct linking to m1, shepcote lane & Meadowhall

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 18:19, Wed 25 May 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3551673.

The lights have been out of sync on this roundabout now for weeks and weeks. 2 days ago (am) it took me at least 20 minutes to enter the roundabout from Tinsley viaduct and exit onto shepcote lane. Lights changed on more occasions than I could count with no traffic moving along at any of the junctions. It is the same later in the day trying to enter from shepcote lane and exit onto the viaduct. Please get this sorted! It’s beyond a joke now!

  • Still no redress or anything from highways England regarding this, utterly disgusting

  • Thank you for your report concerning traffic signals.

We’re sorry to hear of the issues you have experienced. We’re aware there are some significant delays on the M1 at J34. This is due to a fault with our traffic signals. We can advise that an engineer visited the site on 23 May and 25 May to assess what works are required. We undertook some surfacing and loop replacement works on 28 May and this should’ve resolve the issue. Kind regards
