Unnecessary congestion

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 20:30, Mon 23 May 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3546174.

Most Sundays in the summer a car boot sale takes place just off the Shoreham Flyover on the A 283. This causes tremendous congestion and gridlock on the roundabout under the flyover and, indeed, backing right up the flyover slip roads onto the A27 whilst cars turn across the traffic to enter the site. Last Sunday was a typical example. Surely the organisers should bear responsibility to ensure this does not happen. Dudmans were made to send their lorries past their depot at the Cement Works up to Tall Trees roundabout and back down the A283 to enter their site without crossing a traffic lane. What can you do to eliminate this happening please ?
