Very bad running surface on A34 Northbound inside lane

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3540016.

The inside lane of the north bound A34 from the A33 up to the first layby is very bad, and in places I consider it to be dangerous and is deteriorating by the week. Many cars are now travelling in the fast lane only on this stretch to avoid the badly rutted surface. I notice that this was reported previously some months ago. PLEASE arrange for repairs as soon as possible.

  • Thank you for your report concerning the road surface on the A34.

    We’re aware of the condition of this road. A long-term resurfacing plan is currently being developed, however we’re unable to provide a timescale at present. The road is monitored daily by our Route Inspectors and, should an issue be deemed as safety critical, it will be repaired within 24hrs.
