Crossing point light still not working
Reported via desktop in the Street lighting (NH) category anonymously at 09:02, Sun 15 May 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3526140.
On the 16th December Highways advised this would be resolved inside 28 days. Still not working. No lighting on crossing island. Was damaged in a road traffic accident many months ago and post replaced but never reconnected. Very busy road with no safe lighting to aid crossing. Here is a precise what3words address, made of 3 random words. Every 3 metre square in the world has its own unique what3words address. https://w3w.co/ tinsel.demand.hedge

This crossing point is still not illuminated. This has been reported since December 2019 and never addressed

Dec 19 you committed to resolve this. Nothing has progressed and another accident has occurred with a vehicle striking the crossing island. Perhaps had it been illuminated the accident could have been avoided. We are moving into winter and shorter days now with school children crossing at an island with no lighting. Why do Highways continue to put lives at risk?

Now no lighting, no pole or illumination on island and is dangerous. Last person struck suffered a fractured skull and sadly died. Please resolve before another life is lost
