Conflicting speed limit signage

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 14:09, Thursday 12 May 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later

Where you currently have the 40mph limit for barrier works on N bound c/w just after the slip road to Stratford St Mary/Dedham, the original national speed limit signs are still showing in conflict to the restrictions (with speed cameras on the network for both speed limits)

  • In 40mph temporary speed limit on A12 north bound north of A120 interchange. Two national speed limit signs attached to the speed camera notice just after the Gun Hill turn off northbound. Then a solitary 40mph temporary sign a little way further on, but then the fixed national speed limit sign in central reservation just past Stratford Road Bridge. Then just before the Stratford St Mary turn off there are the 'end of 40mph speed limit' signs. Cars and goods vehicles accelerating and braking in random order because of confusion.
