When entering the roundabout from a440 and wanting to take Droitwich exit, often when a gap in the traffic appears from the right, there is nowhere to go and you cannot enter the roundabout. This is because the lane for the Droitwich exit is already full of idling traffic, often backed up to the traffic entering from the a440, they traffic is waiting at the red lights that haven’t changed to clear the lane. This results in massive congestion at peak times as traffic cannot get onto the roundabout due to it being gridlocked. This impacts then on the next roundabout at Warndon Way. This evening traffic was backed up to The Barn Owl pub. Furthermore, i have witnessed that cars that are lucky enough to join from the a440, then sit in fear in the stationary Droitwich lane, as users come around the roundabout behind them at speed wanting to exit to the a449. One day someone is going to do this and slam straight into the back of the stationary Droitwich queue of traffic that is obscuring the a449 slip road. There was a close call at 7 am this morning. It’s going to happen. The lights timings need to be reviewed.
