Dangerous traffic lights positioning

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3517260.

Traffic lights have been positioned at top of slip road from A66 West to Elton roundabout. Traffic is having to queue on inside lane of A66 carriageway where there is a blind corner and traffic approaching at 70mph. Queued in this yesterday and was very scared of rear end shunt at speed.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the positioning of temporary traffic lights on the A66 West to Elton roundabout.

    These works are by Stockton Borough Council and a call was made to them and an email sent to their Traffic Management supplier, to advise them to place out better signage.
