Out of sequence
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 10:35, Mon 9 May 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3511357.
Traffic on this junction has been getting progressively worse for the last 2 weeks. This morning, it took 45 minutes from joining the sliproad queue from the M1 northbound to reach the roundabout at J34. No roadworks around so the sequencing on the traffic lights must have changed causing the issue. This is extremely dangerous as the stood traffic on the M1 is being approached from behind at 60mph in some cases. i witnessed three near misses this morning. When reaching the roundabout, it is clear that traffic is backing up in every direction approaching the roundabout.
