No visible road markings

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 13:59, Fri 6 May 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3506425.

Work has been completed on the so-called 'smart' motorway section from Jct 5 to Jct 9 - BUT there are no lane markings and this makes it potentialy dangerous. Several 'near misses' have been witnessed. When is the work going to be completed in terms of lane marking with white lines?

  • Driving at 6pm into the sun the road marking are literally invisible against the bright concrete. Various people not able to stay in lanes and meandering across carriageway due to invisible lines.
