Dear Sir or Madam
Thank you for contacting us by Fix My Street on 30 April regarding traffic light sequencing at junction 34 of the M1.
I understand your frustration with the delays you experienced and can confirm we have taken steps to rectify this.
Following resurfacing of the M1 northbound exit slip road, the sensors used to monitor traffic presence were replaced on the evening of 2 May. We have also checked the junction is operating on an adaptive traffic control system (MOVA). This should improve traffic flow at the junction significantly and reduce the delays you are experiencing.
We expect this to resolve the issues at this location.
Thank you again for contacting us. If there is anything we can help you with, please email or telephone our Contact Centre. They’re available 24 hours a day by phone: 0300 123 5000 or by email info@nationalhighways.co.uk. Alternatively, please visit the National Highways website at nationalhighways.co.uk.
Kind regards
Daniel
