Temporary speed limit signs visible despite no work at all on A120 west of Bradwell

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 18:13, Wed 27 April 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3487386.

Random temporary speed limit signs are in place despite all cones being off the road and no works in progress. If road users are expected to obey road signs then those signs should be in place when required and removed/hidden when not required. This has been the situation for more than a week.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the temporary speed limit signs on the A120 west of Bradwell. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Investigation work on the drainage is continuing along this section of the A120 and a temporary road surface has been laid in some places. This may mean a speed restriction is necessary for safety reasons until the road surface has been fully reinstated.

Thank you again for contacting us. If you need more information about this, please feel free to contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 500 or by email at info@highwaysengland.co.uk.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
