Possible Damage to bridge over Plymouth/Torquay bound carriageway of A38 on the eastbound facing side of the bridge
Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 22:06, Tue 12 April 2022
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3456010.
Whilst driving towards Exeter I noticed what appeared to be a chunk of concrete missing from the bridge over the westbound carriageway near kennford. This is the first road bridge after the splatford split junction. It is over the westbound carriageway, but on the rear of the bridge as you approach so only visible whilst driving in the opposite direction. Looked to be a fairly large chunk that had come off the underside of the bridge, so obviously concerned if more were to fall. Hard to be sure whilst travelling at speed in the opposite direction, but worth checking please.
