Missing road signage and line markings

Reported via mobile in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 21:22, Wed 6 April 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3442644.

On way from holyport interchange towards Maidenhead, the roundabout at end of A308 left hand lane on roundabout should be clearly marked for left hand only. Lanes on roundabout don’t allow for cars to go straight on. Without markings it is leading to cars cutting others up by going into left lane and going over hashed markings.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning safety at Braywick Roundabout.

We have reviewed the information available to us and can advise that this area is not responsible for a higher number of incidents than other roads. The roundabout exits are correctly signposted and the Highway Code provides guidance for navigation. We suggest that issues concerning driver behaviour should be reported to the police.

However, we have made our Signs team aware of the issue, and we will include this information in our plans for future schemes for the roundabout.

We will continue to monitor this and will arrange any work if the situation changes. If you require any further update on this issue our Customer Contact Centre is available 24 hours a day at:
