Down to one Lane issue

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 12:40, Wed 6 April 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3441364.

I have driven past this site several times a day and never seen anyone working? The road has now gone from two lanes open to one lane open, this is causing huge tail backs east bound and has today coursed a collision resulting in both vehicles catching fire. This could have been avoided if two lanes were open. Has I mentioned earlier, no one is working on the road so not sure why it needs two lanes closed. Please look at this with some urgency as it is only a matter of time before someone loses their live because of the restrictions.

Updates

  • Still only one Lane open 2 days after bad crash. You really need to look at this as the tail backs are huge. Not one person is working on the road but still there are 2 lanes closed, why? It cannot be for the safety of personnel. When there was only 1 Lane closed the traffic flowed freely. Please look at this as a priority before someone dies due to the unnecessary Lane restrictions.
