Bridge over underpass

The north facing side of the eastbound A52 overbridge over the underpass has hole that has been getting progressively bigger. over the last 1-2 years It is now home to some pigeons and I have had what sounded like gravel sized debris fall on my car as I was passing under. There was a pigeon at the entrance and I assume either it entered or flew off and dislodged something. I have also noticed the underbridge itself in the vicinity has been getting progressively darker so possibly the damage is spreading further into the bridge.
