  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning graffiti and litter.

We’ve forwarded your concerns to our maintenance team. Any graffiti which is obscene or offensive will be prioritised and removed as quickly as possible.

Removal of graffiti can require specialist contractors or traffic management to keep our workforce safe. This means that it is not cost-effective to remove every instance of graffiti on its own. Graffiti which doesn’t meet the criteria above will therefore be logged and removed during the next round of periodic cleaning taking place in the area.

The litter is scheduled to be picked in our cyclical programme.

If you require any further information please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or info@nationalhighways.co.uk, or visit our website at www.nationalhighways.gov.uk.

    Kind regards
