Complaint sent to East Sussex HIghways via Cllr

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 15:15, Tue 29 March 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3424315.

Recently we had the displeasure of negotiating the main vehicle route out of Eastbourne, the undervalued A.27.; As you know in recent years with increased populations from house building and associated motor traffic volume the single carriageway to Lewes is a very congested, unreliable, dangerous and irksome route. This has been in need of a priority upgrade to dual carriageway for many years. ; In consequence you can imagine our absolute fury to see (while being delayed) large swathes of land parallel with the roadway being allocated to a large and expensive cycleway, taking land and money away from and preventing the ever promised priority duelling.
