Overgrown brambles obstructing sightline

Reported via mobile in the Vegetation (grass/hedges/trees) (NH) category anonymously at 18:29, Mon 21 March 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3405862.

Brambles on verge of A120 on the inside of the bend. Visibility from the wix road junction, looking in the colchester direction, is limited and when waiting to turn right into primrose lane from the A120 (coming from harwich), the brambles limit the vision of traffic coming from Colchester direction, making it tricky to cross. Brambles have been present for some years but are gradually getting more out of control

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding overgrown vegetation on the A120. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

The route inspector has been to the site and sent the information to our landscape team to do some cut backs of the vegetation. This should improve visibility.

Thank you again for contacting us. If you need more information about this, please feel free to contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 500 or by email at info@highwaysengland.co.uk.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
