Fencing along the side of the road badly damaged

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 11:50, Wed 16 March 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3392670.

This fencing has been damaged for more than 10 years, initially by at least two cars coming off the road and then by neglect and decay. All of the stretch along Hardsough lane is a Bridleway. The rest of the stretch to Church lane is a public footpath. These public rights of way are well used by the local community and there is now nothing to separate them from the road. The fencing needs to be replaced and given the history of cars crashing on to the paths, a crash barrier at the top is also needed
