Extreme amount of litter

This junction is in a terrible state (as is the entire motorway) due to large amounts of rubbish and litter. It has been present for at least three months and is getting worse by the day.

  • We have passed your report regarding litter on the slip roads at M53 junction 7 to our local inspector who will review the issue as part of their next safety check. Following the inspection, we'll arrange works to clear the litter as needed. Millions of customers travel on our network daily and despite our best efforts to clear it, our network quickly becomes littered with rubbish from vehicles and unsecured loads. We'll do our utmost to keep this area clean and thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
