M32 50mph speed limit

Reported via desktop in the Sign issue (NH) category anonymously at 12:59, Fri 11 March 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3380382.

I thought the m32 j2 was going to reinstate a 50mph speed limit from north of J3 to the north of J3 and that the 40mph limit was only going to be from the north of J3 into Bristol? This was mentioned ages ago yet not in place at all? When it this being sorted please? Thanks

  • Thank you for your report concerning the speed limit on the M32.

The current 60mph limit from north of junction 2 is in place for air quality reasons. The 40mph limit is due to a barrier that we will need to be replaced in coming years.

On that basis, we have no plans to review the current speed limits.

In the future could you please report issues such as this to our Customer Contact Centre as this reporting tool is designed for defects such as a broken sign or barrier, litter, overgrown vegetation or potholes.
