The wooden fence rails at the Lapwing Lane side of the footbridge are being smashed to bits a section at a time. Anyone or thing can get down the embankment onto the M60.

The fencing was repaired a while back but has subsequently been vandalised again on both sides of the footpath for half its length. I reported it in January but the file is closed apparently.

Following inspection, it was found that the fence at this location is not the property of National Highways and is maintained by the local authority.
