Bad phasing of traffic lights

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 17:26, Sat 5 March 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3364920.

The temporary traffic lights at the end of the slip road coming off the A38 southbound at Streethay are phased badly. I timed them this morning at 2 minutes on red. The slip road is quite long but the traffic was backing onto the A38. Sooner or later there is going to be an accident, even though there is currently a 40mph speed limit on the A38. The is no need for traffic to be held up for 2 minutes. The temporary lights have been in place for at least a week.

  • We have been made aware that the temporary traffic lights are currently stuck on red causing traffic congestion. Please arrange for someone to attend and rectify the defect.
