Out of order traffic lights on M4 Jct 15 (westbound) causing serious tailbacks and dangerous conditions

These traffic lights have been out of order for over a week now and it's causing dangerous, long tailbacks onto the M4 and causing difficulty trying to get onto the roundabout itself. This is compounded by the lack of road markings indicating that all three lanes can be used to turn right and access the A419. A number of times I've used the far left hand lane to go right and nearly been wiped out by someone who does not understand the markings. Signage needs to be better and I suggest more road markings on the roundabout. Please fix the lights, it is dangerous.

Over a week later the traffic lights are still not working! Please sort it ASAP!

I called on Tuesday to be told 2 day delay on a part - there will be an accident sooner or later! The road markings also don't help as everyone uses lane 3 for A419 rather than all 3 lanes

Lights are still out and I was almost wiped out by a van this last week. Its SO dangerous. It is not only causing 2.5 mile tailbacks on the evenings on the M4, it is actually dangerous on the roundabout. I have resulted to carrying on to Junction 16 just to ensure my personal safety. This is a joke, you can put in temporary lights for pointless roadworks in a matter of minutes but you cant put in temporary lights to make this junction safe.

Fix these lights. There was a crash last week because they were not working and it's only a matter of time until someone dies here. How can you let these lights be out of action for over a week??

The lack of response from national highways on this is appalling. I raised this last Tuesday and it is clear from other posts that this is causing some serious anxiety and concern from multiple road users, as well as danger to life. This is a well-used motorway junction that links to the busy A419 - a primary route to other main roads such as the M5. We are now over 2 weeks since these lights stopped working.

I’ve now emailed national highways as clearly they aren’t reading any comments people make and i can’t believe there has not been any progress. I’m driving to j16 purely to be safe, which is absurd.

We’re aware of the broken lights. The issue was caused by a traffic collision, and we are working with the local authorities to repair the damage. The area has been made safe, and we are now working on fixing the lights themselves.

Any update on when this is actually going to get fixed? L The tailbacks onto the motorway are unacceptable and dangerous and putting signs up with a line through the traffic light is not making it safe. When you finally get up the ramp, you have to roll the dice that someone coming from the right who won't be slowing down unless told to, doesn't wipe you out.

The response by the National Highways agency is unacceptable. It is not just an 'inconvenience' - It is a death trap. Why have you not put in temporary lights system to make drivers safe at this junction? Specialist parts are not necessary for temporary safety lights. Your response is beyond belief and I hope that anyone that does have an accident while you have left this roundabout is a extremely dangerous state takes legal action against you. Do you know the smallest accident could change someones life forever, god forbid a fatal one. Its literally like playing 'Chicken' getting off the motorway.
