50 mph restriction and roadworks still in place

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks (NH) category anonymously at 06:59, Tue 1 March 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3352060.

This speed restriction and roadworks Westbound is still in place despite work seemingly having been complete for many months and the restriction Eastbound having been removed ages ago.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning the speed restriction on the A31 near Ferndown.

The speed limit remains in place in the westbound carriageway as there are ongoing barrier upgrade works around the West Moors area. Works have been delayed due to uncharted underground cables and pipes, which forced us to amend the method of work and redesign the scheme to ensure safety for road users and our staff, which is our priority. We apologise for the delay.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
