Ambiguous road markings (lane markings)

Reported via desktop in the Road markings (NH) category anonymously at 15:20, Wed 16 February 2022

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 3316409.

There are ambiguous lane markings on the roundabout, which have been added during the changes because of the motorway works, and which cause confusion, and cars cutting across each other. See the south side of the roundabout, where the left hand slip road joins the westbound M4, and the roundabout continues round towards the A404M. The left hand lane of the roundabout is allowed to continue around the roundabout, but the markings imply it may not be possible. Drivers get confused/thrown, and drift across lanes. This gets worse when cars in the middle lane think they can cut across drivers going around the roundabout, to use the westbound slip road to the M4. This is especially so when the traffic flow is coming from the A308M.
